D695: POST PRESENTATION GROUP HUGS AT Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Bringing happiness to the work place. I hope everyone is reminded to bring humanity at work : to treat patient as people not number. To proactively decide to be happy. Happiness starts with you. If you can be happy at work, life will be even more enjoyable. After all, we spend most of our time at work. The best part of presenting is getting these hugs afterwards 🙂 Thank you for your kind words, love and hugs. I receive them with gratitude. 09.05.17

D652: WHEN YOU GET 45 HUGS IN A DAY No group hug post presentation today. But how lucky am I that 37 of the new staffs were patiently lined up for a hug? This is my first longest hug line to date. How adorable 🙂 It's a great opportunity to hug the team who work behind the scene from the engineers, the researchers, the scientist. I wouldn't have seen them otherwise. It humbles me to hear they are inspired to take on the positive vibes in their life. A reminder to create a connection, a hug, a sense of humour and laughter to create an amazing experience for the staffs and cancer patients. I got more videos to upload too. Even got a bonus hug from staffs members who used to look after me on my way out. 03.04.17

D282: LOVE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING - Grazyna #sixwordwisdom I went to the Cathedral for Good Friday with Kim and another friend Teresa. As I'm about to exit, a stranger smiled at me and I smiled back. Then, I motion forward to hug her. After all, she seems so huggable. We hugged and she proceeded to tell me that she's on remission for cancer. I replied, "Me too." We swap our cancer stories as we introduced our name to each other. She told me how she was in a war. Fascinating, how you can met a random stranger, heard their struggle and had a great laugh. Teresa and Kim thought I knew her and I said,"Nope." Teresa can't stop laughing and said to me, "I don't talk to strangers." I gather a little lady on a walker can't do me harm haha. Do you talk to strangers? 25.03.16
D638: WORLD'S HAPPINESS DAY Today is UN International Happiness Day. I was invited to speak at an event initiated by Action for Happiness Australia. The energy in the room is amazing. My principal is to evaluate your rule of happiness. Simplify it. Make it easy for you to be happy. My new rule of happiness: I am breathing. I am happy I want to bring this message to corporate world. PS: The spiral group hug is the best 🙂 Thank you everyone for your love. 20.03.17
D626: HOW TO BE AN IRRESISTIBLE HUGGER Helma confessed that she doesn't hug a stranger. But today, she hugged us. And, she have a very important message to share. 08.03.17
The face of kindness : Melissa.
This morning, I called Print Locker Custom T-shirts to change size of the t-shirt I ordered. I'm planning to wear it this Friday. I was meant to pick it up in 4 days but the woman on the phone said she'll get it done today. Before I hang up, I asked her name. "Melissa," she said.
I walked in and I opened my arms for a thank you hug. She probably wasn't expecting hugs from a stranger but she gave me a warm hug anyway 😂
Then, she said,"I printed on both sizes just in case." She gave it to me out of kindness. Later, I found out she owns the business.
What a blessing to receive kindness today. It warms my heart. I asked her if we can have a hug photo.

Today, I celebrated World #Hugs Day with my friends at Meadowvale retirement village. World Hugs Day is held on January 21st each year. I am so proud of the residents for supporting Hugs for Change. What #beautiful people! As soon as I walked into a room with these residents I knew that they were special people with beautiful stories to tell. Resident Geraldine said that it was lovely to have a #hug and that some people never get one. Another resident recalled a story from many years ago where she sitting in a waiting room at the VET, crying over the death of her pet canary and a young stranger came up to her and gave her a hug. That moment stayed with her over the years. 96 year old Maude, when asked how she made it to 96 years of age, said ‘Lots of hugs!’ And Margot, originally from Germany, said that she was shocked when she came to Australia because every time she put her hand out to give a handshake, she was greeted with a hug. ‘It was fantastic,’ she said! The Hugs Committee raised $85.65 on the day. They held a vote and kindly decided to support current Hugs for Change project, Mariposas Amarillos. And Josie, who hugged the most people, was named Hugs Ambassador! Josie made sure that even the photographer for the local newspaper, a tall young man, got a hug. She may have been half his size but that did not stop her! ‘There’s no escaping it,’ he said. Thank you so much for your generous support! #hugyournan #hugyourpa #hugsforchange #onelessstranger
